My facilitation work sits alongside my artistic practice and focuses on creating inclusive, responsive environments where people can engage with sound and music in ways that suit them.
I am a music and arts facilitator with a background in social care - working as a senior support worker and a specialist support worker, supporting neurodivergent adults and individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs.
I work with the Turner Prize nominated Project Art Works as a studio artist, supporting the delivery of their in house programmes and national work. I have worked as a music facilitator, working alongside homeless charities and engaging young people with music making in the community. Whilst working at Carousel I have supported musicians with learning disabilities to achieve their artistic ambitions on a number of different music projects.
I deliver music and arts provision to children and young people in both mainstream schools and SEN education. I co-founded, Lifesize - a community interest company that provides music provision and runs Art Council England funded music projects in the local community and beyond.
My practice is grounded in long-term work across community, care and participatory arts contexts. This work informs and underpins my current research and study into care-led and non-verbal sound interaction.
